THE POWER OF ENGLISH

English is among the most important language in the world. It is spoken all around the world. The great number of people speak English as their second language. That is why English has a power. It does not result from English‘s grammatical structure, pronunciation or power of words.  It results from political, technological, industrial and economic power of the countries where English is spoken. At first, we can say that the most important criteria is political reasons. England has many colonial countries all around the world. It has governed many countries from Africa to Southeast Asian countries. While it is governing these countries, it affects them. People who are from these countries are affected by English, and so these people largely speak English well.  Secondly, another important point is that technology is a significant criteria. As the countries where English is spoken produce new technological products, and they call them after their name or various English words. Thus, these words spread throughout the world, and English became more powerful. Thirdly, these countries are among the leader countries in terms of economy in the world. As they develop in technology and industry, their economic situation becomes better. That is to say, the developments in an area affect another area. Hence, English is spreading day by day. English is also language of science. Many scientific term are derived from English. As another countries develop in science, they use these English scientific terms. To sum up, all these factors make English the most important, common and powerful language of the world. I think this process will continue.

ACUN ILICALI

 

If I were a member of a committee choosing the man of the year, I would choose Acun Ilıcalı because he is very successful person. He is producer and showman. He was born in Edirne in 1969. After his high school life, he started his university education at İstanbul University. However, he chosed to study in media.

 He opened a jean shop but he went bankrupt in 1995. His first production is ‘Acun Firarda’. Thanks to this programme, he started being a famous person, and everybody knew him in 2002. He travelled one hundred five country. He founded the Acun Media. He has been the producer of Survivor, Fear Factor, Yetenek Sizsiniz Türkiye, O Ses Türkiye, and Devler Ligi. Additionally, he made a lot of stand-up in many cities of Turkey. He was awarded in many contests.

  Acun Ilıcalı is very determined people. Although his parent died when he was young, he could continue his life. He did not give up. He says that when he wants something, he does whatever he can do to realize it. That why he is a successful person.

 He is also helpful. He donates his some of properties to helpful institutes. Namely, he is also generous people. For example, he has realized a campaign to help people who suffer from a destroying earthquake in Van. He also donated all of money he earned in a support campaign to children who have a chronic disease. He expresses that the more I help people by donating my money the, more I earn.

  I think that he always wants the better. He is not content with what he has. It is very important characteristics because that is why he always develops, and makes better things.

  

 

 

 

 

 Acun Ilıcalı does not use his private life to be known. He wants to be known for his success. I think he is a sincere people. He says what he thinks.

 

 Finally, he has bought TV 8, and I am sure he will not stop. He will be one of the most important people in the world.
